Manistee Share-A-Pair Drive Collecting Gently Worn Shoes and Boots

MANISTEE, MICH., OCTOBER 1, 2009 - Love INC and Northwestern Bank are calling on the community to help clothe the needy this holiday season. In an effort to acquire desperately needed shoes and boots, the partners are kicking off the second annual "Share-A-Pair" drive on Thursday, October 1.

Share-A-Pair will be collecting items through Monday, November 30. Love INC will then distribute the shoes and boots to Manistee County residents throughout the holiday season.

"Because of the challenging economy this year, the need for shoes and boots has never been greater," said Robin Paulus, executive director of Love INC Manistee. "We are getting more and more requests for support and are looking for your help to meet the need."

For every pair of shoes or boots donated, Northwestern Bank will also contribute $1.00 to Love INC, up to $500.

"Northwestern is proud to be a part of this worthy cause," said Mary Kaye Wilkosz, vice president of Northwestern Bank's Manistee office. "We hope that Manistee residents will answer our call to action and donate their gently worn items to Share-A-Pair."
